Hi blogger!
I already tried one of new VersaFine colors "Habanero" last time, today, I tried the other new color "TOFFEE".
My first impression of this color is "vintage-ish background color", so I made this as a first trial.
I used TOFFEE for the Tree ,the patterns on the brown panel, the border for the base panel and then sponged all over.
Then I used Habanero on the leaves. These are great autumn colors.
Sponging or spreading VersaFine ink with a Jumbo Dauber is amazingly smooth! Just a little application goes a long way! I love it.
As you know, VersaFine is famous for the its high definition- so, next, I tried a Thomas Kinkade stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms.
Just stamp with Toffee on smooth white cardstock.
I already like this masterpiece!(LOL) It's like a illustration from a vintage book.
OK,I decided go 1 step further.
Ah ha! It's beautiful, isn't it? I just applied pastel chalk with a Jumbo Dauber over the image.
It looks more vintage-ish. I found that a Jumbo Dauber works great to apply chalk to large areas too,
it took only a second actually! Chalk added age and dimention to the image. Maybe Toffee has become one of my favorite colors already:)
One more trial. I made a color version:
I used a 9-color chalk set from CrafT-Product(#3) and only used 6 colors of it.
It feels like I'm good painter and that's why I LOVE stamping, LOL.
I think the TOFFEE color adds nice shading to the image without being overpowering.
That's it for today! Thank you for reading!!
