I am so excited to report about the Stamp Carnival held on August 8th and 9th, 2008 in Japan!
If you are a stamper, you should come and join the event next time and if you don't live in Japan,
it's a great time to visit!
I was lucky to win a seat in the Magenta class! In this class I made 5 wonderful cards with some easy
techniques for creating gorgeous and beautiful projects.
I am excited because will be able to use these techniques on other cards too.
All of the Magenta stamp designs were wonderful and the colors for their projects were really beautiful!
I am including photos of the projects, with Magenta's approval. I am a beginning stamper and was pleased to be able to make them myself.
Thanks to Helene and Jacky of Magenta!
I also tried all of Tsukineko's inks since they had a booth and testers tables! It is a really good idea to see the actual colors before we buy like cosmetics, isn't it?
Sometimes we got different impression from the color charts in catalogs or from a website. The actual colors were so much more rich and beautiful in person! I saw many stampers take advantage of the opportunity to make their own color charts. What a good idea!
At the Stamp Carnival it was also fun to watch so many kids enjoying themselves as they were stamping.
They are the future stampers - and they were having fun too!
Well, I spent more money on the inks and stamps there than I had planned. They were hard to resist!
Now I am really excited to use them! On the possibilities!
The summer in Japan was crazy hot but the enthusiasm generated by the stampers was hotter than the weather.
I already can't wait for the event next year! I can say that the Stamp Carnival is the most exciting event for the stampers in the world!
